Our classes are designed to create a lifelong love of books through the delivery of magical and educationally rich classes for children from birth up to KS1.

Bring books to life through weekly classes, parties, specials, partnership working, schools, early years settings, holiday classes, the possibilities are endless.

The income streams are extensive with Story Imagin-ory

Weekly Classes – Weekly one hour classes delivered in local venues for pre-school families and their children.

Specials – Classes that are run to celebrate certain times of the years and events. These can fall on weekdays and weekends and are a substantial way to boost income.

Holiday classes – Special sessions that are delivered during school holidays. These can include various formats to suit your lifestyle and customers.

Parties – We offer birthday parties from 1 year upwards – there’s nothing quite like an interactive Story Party!

Partnership working – build relationships with local and national partners. Our most recent partner to date is the National Trust

Schools – The nature of our classes means we are an attractive package for schools and tie into their curriculum.

Early Years Settings – Again, our package is attractive to Early Years settings. Professional storytelling is an art, and a skill they are willing to buy into.

Investment Required:
The initial investment fee is £6995 which covers;

Hours:
Story Imagin-ory offers the ultimate flexible working package. You build your business to work around you and your life. Inspire young minds, read stories and play for a living, all whilst having the flexibility that fits around you, your children, school and other commitments.

Salary/Wage/Earnings:
£25,000+ per annum. Earnings are dependent upon the number of classes, events and partnership working you deliver.

Best suited to:
Teachers, those who have worked in Early Years, TA’s, performers/actors and those with a background in artistic delivery. Creative and confident individuals who have a passion for sharing stories with children in new and exciting ways.

Life: Husband and two school aged children

How often do you work?
I run three mornings a week in local venues and dedicate the other two days of the week to planning, prep and for any partnership or school workshops. I also run weekends parties and specials throughout the year. During the school holidays I run pop ups, stay and plays, specials and partnership working around my children. I have the best of both worlds

How does the job fit around your family life?
Story Imagin-ory allows me to work school hours, so I am always there for my children. I have the flexibility to decide my working days, so I never miss the important things. During school holidays I never have to worry about finding childcare. There are many options to deliver sessions during school holidays with my children in mind. I can also top up my income on weekends with parties etc.

How much time do you commit?
I run my business full time. I have the flexibility on when and how I allocate my hours, around my life.

Where do you carry out your work?
My main income stream is from running weekly sessions in community venues. I also do a lot of work in schools. Most recently has seen me branching out with partnership working including partnering with a local farm park attraction and the National Trust to deliver sessions for them in line with their holiday programmes.

Do you need a car?
Yes. There is a reasonable amount of kit to carry on a weekly basis. A decent sized family car is sufficient.

Do you get support/training?
You get full training in all areas. The brands values and background and understanding the business objectives. Support is given in setting up your business, websites, and operations. Training is extensive and ongoing, including key business elements such as marketing, finances, policies and procedures, customer care, sales and more.

Would you recommend this opportunity to others?
Without a doubt. I am doing my dream job, telling stories and inspiring children to love books. There are so many benefits to owning a franchise, the ease of walking straight into your own business and earning almost immediately, which is something you don’t get from starting from scratch. I'm honoured to run them.

Do you advertise?
Yes. I utilise social media for advertising and invest in paid adverts using these platforms to boost and event or upcoming launch. We get trained on how to do this effectively to boost our businesses. Word of mouth and attending local events are also one of the strongest forms of advertising – getting in front of the people and getting to know your local customers. Also national advertising too.
