LoveScience is a well established primary science activity company with branches currently covering North and West Yorkshire, Rochdale and Manchester with a mixture of franchisees and employed club leaders.

We are ALL about the experiments! All of our sessions are 100% hands on for the children so they are all involved and every child can access them regardless of literacy skills or additional needs. It’s more than just the science, our clubs and workshops foster a sense of curiosity, problem solving, teamwork and give opportunities to ‘safely fail’.

This unique approach to science education has proved popular with parents and schools alike, we have a really healthy retention rate meaning that often our schools book a year in advance and, once an area is established, our classes fill up with little advertising.

As a franchisee, you choose the hours you want to work and the types of clubs you want to deliver. We started as a way to replace an income with flexible hours so that your work fits around your life, not the other way round. As such we have resources for you to run different kinds of activities so you can set your own timetable around your family and lifestyle.

Hours:
You decide! As a franchisee, you choose the hours you want to work and the types of clubs you want to deliver.

Salary/Wage/Earnings:
Depending on the type of activities you provide, your typical daily income can vary from £200 - £495.

Best suited to:
Motivated individuals with a passion for learning. You don’t need to have any background in either teaching or business as our training covers all of this, the most important thing is that you are outgoing, enjoy working with children and aren’t too worried about mess!

How often do you work?
On average, between 3 to 4 days a week delivering activities. Normally 2 or 3 hour long sessions a day. Occasionally, a half or full day in school.

How does the job fit around your family life?
Perfectly. You choose your own hours and you can choose which clubs and workshops you want to run that fit in with your family commitments.

How much time do you commit?
I spend the time between sessions catching up on social media etc. I leave a morning a week free for admin and bookkeeping.

Where do you carry out your work?
Mainly in schools and nurseries but also in community centres and soft plays for holiday clubs.

Do you need a car?
A car is ideal but there are club leaders who don’t have a car and plan their work around that.

Do you get support/training?
Yes, 2/3 days initial franchisee training and then ongoing support on upskilling and business support.

Would you recommend this opportunity to others?
It’s a lot of fun firstly. You also feel you are making a real difference to the children that come to the clubs and also the schools and nurseries you work with as it helps them deliver their science curriculum.

Yes, we print leaflets and do a small amount of Facebook advertising.
