Are you looking for an escape from day to day work but need a fulfilling and rewarding role that enables you to work with children and have fun!

Boogie Beat Music and Movement has been running for over 20 years and runs parent and children classes, workshop sessions in local nurseries, preschools and schools and our incredible intergenerational sessions and birthday parties/events and we are expanding across the UK.

Boogie Beat is a mix of traditional stories, nursery rhymes, songs and dances with fun, engaging props and a great active twist. It also gives you a great earning potential. If you love telling stories and enjoy singing and dancing with children, then we’d love to hear from you.

All training is provided, and you are fully supported along the way. Our franchise fee provides you with everything you need to get your Boogie Beat business running in your area and you could be up and running in as little as 3 months!

    • Hours:
    Depending on if you work full or part time, it can be flexible to fit around you. Part time up to 15 hours a week Full time - 15+ hours a week

    Salary/Wage/Earnings:
    This is variable depending on whether you are working full time or part time, you can have class teachers to grow your area, support you and increase your income. We run parent and child classes; workshops in preschools, nurseries, schools and care homes and birthday parties so lots of opportunities to earn.

    We are looking for enthusiastic, passionate and motivated people who are looking for a perfect work/life balance. Many of our franchisees have backgrounds in teaching (from schools, nurseries, preschools, dance, drama) and entertainment (theatre, television ) but anyone is welcome as all training is provided.

    Life: Live in Hucclecote with Husband and son

    How often do you work?
    I currently work Tuesdays mornings, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

    How does the job fit around your family life?
    Boogie Beat allows me to work around my son's childcare. I am able to arrange my timetable to suit school runs, important dates and school holidays. I am able to do the majority of work in the morning leaving me the afternoon to spend time with friends and family, get household chores done or complete admin work leaving my evenings and days off free to enjoy!

    How much time do you commit?
    I roughly estimate 7 hours per week of physical hours. Admin and social media sometimes adds a few more hours onto my working week but nothing taxing!

    Where do you carry out your work?
    I currently work mainly in Gloucester, with classes in Armscroft and Quedgeley. I run workshops in Brockworth, Innesworth, Tuffley and Stroud.

    Do you need a car?
    A car is essential

    Do you get support/training?
    Training and support from HQ is fantastic. Hannah is always willing to answer questions, talk decisions through, advise and help where ever she possibly can. Training videos and lesson plans on the back of house system are super helpful and easy to access.

    Would you recommend this opportunity to others?
    I would recommend this opportunity to anyone looking for the perfect family friendly job or someone searching for a healthy work life balance. Joining the Boogie Beat Team was the best decision I have ever made and I no longer stress about how I am going to juggle being a present parent along with working and earning a sufficient income

    Do you advertise?
    I advertise mainly on Facebook and Instagram, but also use what's on 4 kids and Pebble

    Are there any downsides to the role?
    Sometimes it is a little hard to switch off especially when using social media for your business. I have had to carve out 'free time' and have recently set automated away messages to ensure family time is uninterrupted. Social media allows you to be very accessible to everyone and it is important to set some boundaries
