LushTums was founded in Brighton in 2007 by yoga teacher and pregnancy yoga specialist Clare Maddalena to help women everywhere enjoy pregnancy, birth and life as a new mother. In her years as a yoga teacher specialising in pregnancy yoga, Clare has taught thousands of women pregnancy yoga, birth preparation courses, postnatal yoga and women's yoga. By setting up LushTums she aimed to share this experience and knowledge and reach even more pregnant women by training other teachers, who would then in turn establish their own local LushTums franchises.
