Little Learners was devised when I was on maternity leave from my teaching post in 2015 at the age of 24. I was determined to create a career for myself that allowed me to spend more time with my little boy and I always had in mind that eventually I could offer this opportunity to other parents that felt their current job offered no flexibility . 
I was committed to creating a class focussed on mark making through play so that children felt more relaxed and confident when they entered the classroom.  
I tested the model by running classes myself in the North East for 18 months. I was soon inundated with requests for spaces so the potential for growth was clear. In talking to parents, friends and former colleagues, I began to appreciate there could be the appetite for a franchise opportunity like Little Learners and a career that is flexible and can fit around family life.
