Air Nursery Photography

Have you ever thought how nice it would be to have a flexible part time job that fitted around school term times and was also interesting, varied and creative?

Well, if you have an interest in photography and like working with children then becoming a nursery photographer could be the right way forward for you.

The Interview

How do I become a nursery photographer?

Air Nursery Photography makes it very easy for anyone to become a nursery photographer. Full training in our styles of photography is provided and we supply you with all of the necessary equipment.

What qualifications and experience do I need?

You don’t need any formal qualifications in photography because we provide all the training you need. All that is required is that you have an interest in photography, a confident outlook and enjoy working with children. When you join the company, you will be required to complete a CRB disclosure.

Do I need to buy a camera or other photographic equipment?

Air Nursery Photography provides you with all of the photographic equipment you need.

Is there anything else I will need?

You will need a drivers licence and car so that you can travel to nurseries in your area and you will also need home internet access to access our bookings database.

Will I need to contact nurseries to arrange photo shoots?

Air Nursery Photography arranges photography bookings centrally and manages a bookings database for photographers. Some of our photographers choose to be involved in bookings but it is not essential.

Will I need to take photographic orders from the nursery?

Air Nursery’s website enables parents to view their images and order photo products online so there is absolutely no sales administration for photographers.

How many photo shoots will I need to do?
If you work for Air Nursery Photography then you can decide whether or not to accept a photo shoot through our bookings database. Typically most of our photographers make themselves available for 2 or 3 days shooting per week, there is at least one months notice given of each shoot.

What about school holidays?
As most nurseries close for the summer, Christmas and Easter holidays these times tend to be quieter with fewer photo shoots taking place.

Are there any areas you are specifically recruiting for at the moment?

We operate from Surrey in the South up to Birmingham and Leicestershire in the North, we are open to applications from all areas within this region, however we would particularly welcome applicants from Buckinghamshire, Middlesex, Leicestershire and Warwickshire at the moment.

What kind of hours would I be expected to work?

It’s difficult to give an exact time because each nursery is different but most nursery photo shoots start in the early morning and finish in the early afternoon. Allowing for travel time of up to an hour each way, you may sometimes need to make arrangements for school drop off or pick up.

How much money can I earn?

Air Nursery photographers are remunerated based on the number of children photographed so how much you earn will depend on the number of photo shoots you choose to accept.
